On this 16x20 inch unframed drawing, I used a combination of charcoal and just a touch of PanPastel on 290gsm canvas paper to bring out ‘deep emotion’ in an intimate moment. It depicts a woman with her eyes closed and her face—an ocean of peace but filled with sharp feelings of longing and a search within. The soft, smudged lines show her hair falling around her face, merging into the deep, textured background, evoking a dreamlike, almost ethereal atmosphere.
